How To Purchase UG 2020 Admission Voucher Using USSD

The University of Ghana has added one more option to buying it’s application e-voucher. It is the USSD. The most patronized method of payment is usually by going to the Bank and requesting for a school fees payment form.

However, due to the Covid-19 outbreak as well as the Ghana government’s recommendation to citizens to stay home as much as possible, the University of Ghana’s admission board has thought is wise to be able to cater for those who would have preferred to be able to purchase the application forms from home.

This move also helps augment the government’s commitment to protect the health of the citizens. Those who test positive for the Covid-19 virus or who are suspected to have the virus who have been quarantined can access this service without putting anyone at risk for infection.

Before we continue, it is worth noting that this service applies to Ghanaian applicants who reside in Ghana only

The steps to follow are as follows

1. Dial *887*18# on all networks
2. Select UG
3. Authorize Payment
4. User receives e-voucher via SMS after successful payment

In some instances the user may not be able to receive the e-voucher after a successful transaction. When this happens, follow the instructions below to retrieve your e-voucher.

1. Dial *887*18#
2. Select “Yes”
3. Select “Retrieve E-Voucher”
4. The details of the E-Voucher are displayed (ie University of Ghana, Serial Number, and PIN)

It is highly encouraged that users patronize this option of service, so as to protect your health and that of others around you including bank workers.

Also, this cuts short the long commutes to specific banks for purchase of application e-vouchers.
